Zanewood Community: A STEAM School hosted its families for a waffle breakfast Feb. 13, where members of the school community could come together for waffles with all the fixings, conversations, resources, and more.
During and after the breakfast, families could visit several booths to get more information about community resources such as the Hennepin County Library system, Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE), Family and Community Engagement (FACE), CreateMPLS, and Three Rivers Park District’s Gale Woods Farm.
At the end of the event, the school offered school tours and classroom observations for parents and caregivers.
“We want our families to feel connected and feel heard, and our families showed up,” said Zanewood principal Adrain Pendelton.
